Mission
The Department of Water Resources has a primary mission to recommend policies, plans, and measures related to water resources; to manage, develop, conserve, and restore water resources; and to control, supervise, coordinate, monitor, evaluate, and resolve problems related to water resources. This includes developing technical expertise, setting standards, and transferring water resource technologies at both the national and river basin levels.
