From June 15-17, 2026, Mr. Kittisak Jaidee, Director of the Regional Water Resources Office 8, assigned the Water Resources Conservation Division 1, Songkhla, to organize the “Promoting the Utilization of Wetland Natural Resources” project for the fiscal year 2026 for wetland networks, water user groups, and water user organizations.

On June 17, 2026, at 9:00 AM, participants in the project visited Tha Pom - Khlong Song Nam in Mueang Krabi District, Krabi Province. They received a lecture on "Conserving Freshwater and Saltwater Ecosystems for Sustainable Community Tourism by Local Administrative Organizations" and explored the natural trails and ecosystems of Tha Pom - Khlong Song Nam, an important learning resource showcasing rich freshwater and saltwater ecosystems that have been developed into a community-based ecotourism destination.
The activities aim to educate the network on conservation and restoration of natural resources, wetland and ecosystem management through community and local government participation, and the balanced utilization of natural resources. This is coupled with the promotion of ecotourism to generate income and improve the quality of life for communities. The knowledge and experience gained can be applied to appropriately manage wetlands and natural resources in their own areas, resulting in sustainable benefits for both the community and the environment.
