From June 15-17, 2026, Mr. Kittisak Jaidee, Director of the Regional Water Resources Office 8, assigned the Water Resources Conservation Division 1, Songkhla, along with its staff, to organize the “Promoting the Utilization of Wetland Natural Resources” project for the fiscal year 2026. The project targeted wetland networks, water user groups, and water user organizations.
On June 16, 2026, at 1:00 PM, participants in the project were taken on a boat trip to study the wetland ecosystem of the Krabi River estuary. This area is a rich mangrove forest with the potential to be linked to sustainable community tourism. They also received a lecture on "Conservation, Restoration, and Wise Utilization: From Abundant Resources to Sustainable Community Income Generation."
The activities aim to educate network groups about the value of the Krabi River estuary wetlands and mangrove ecosystems, as well as approaches to conservation, restoration, and wise utilization of natural resources. This is done by linking it to ecotourism and generating income for the community, enabling them to apply the acquired knowledge and experience to develop their own areas in a suitable, balanced, and sustainable manner.
